The research team is in the process of understanding the technology behind it so that we can outfit others with similar weaponry.
Coincidentally he is a hard-working, honest, and rather resourceful man. In the event you have yet to decide upon a Deputy Guardian, I would highly recommend seeking him out.
I do not know if you are aware of Athrun Zula, but he possesses what is called a 'mobile suit' of armor called Infinite Justice. It stands taller than many buildings and I have been working with him to outfit a firearm similar to the droids mentioned above. We have reviewed the layout of the city and have determined that, as is, it will not be simple to move it about without causing some sort of structural damage. I have spoken with the city planner about the possibility of shifting the city's structure in the event it is needed.

[ Weiss didn't notice that it wasn't her bed right away. Being in a new home made everything feel different, so the comfort level of the bed, the way the pillows were arranged? They weren't exactly alerting Weiss to the possibility that she wasn't in blankety Kansas anymore.

Spending too much time worrying and thinking and overthinking and planning considering alternatives to alternatives was ... not really healthy for a young girl like Lucy, who's been stressed and upset over the entire scenario with the Hands of Decay - not to mention the other reports she's seen over the network. But with the Master of Fairy Tail having been ...unavailable to say the least, for some time, most of the responsibilties fell to her and Natsu.
And that was fine, because at least she knew they could get things done. But Virgo and Loke had insisted that she needed to take a break and get some fresh air -away- from Fayren for at least an hour or so, and though Loke would have -loved- to escort her, Lucy was equally insistent on going with -her- partner. She needed to relax, and she always felt at ease and calmer with him. Plus, she knew her spirits were right - she'd been feeling burned out and frazzled lately; enough that Virgo and Loke had actually agreed to stay in the guild with Bridget to stand guard. As much as she'd have liked to ask Levy to stand watch too, her friend was not..really meant for battle.

Natsu had it easier than Lucy since his job was mostly fighting and somehow ending up as the playmate for the kids they were protecting in the guild. Even so when Lucy was finally pretty much pushed out the door to unwind, he gladly joined her on her day out. With Loke and Virgo holding the fort they could relax to some degree.

While I'd like to say "forever," I think we should discuss something reasonable if you want that to be the case. When it comes to dealing with Mercury, as far as I can tell the trick has always been making sure he doesn't get bored and not forgetting he's a liar.
