[ Sounds like it's unrelated, then. He'll wait until she gets here to make sure that Szelhamos wasn't involved there. And maybe he can find out who was; he trusts Weiss to take the "appropriate actions" against her captors, but that's usually not good enough in Garrus' book, especially when the vic is a colleague.
He hangs around in the building, pulling up any info he can find on Tannusen and this Szelhamos fellow in the meantime.]
[ She gets there and it looks like she honestly hasn't had much in the way of sleep yet, but she's got a coffee cup in hand and only a little bit of glitter in her hair because why is there always glitter everywhere at circuses?? She's practically stomping her heels against the ground when she arrives. ]
[ If he were as close to Weiss as he was Shepard, he would comment on the glitter. But they're not quite up to that stage in their relationship. Still...It doesn't stop him from scrutinizing her appearance. ]
You look like hell. You sure you're okay?
[ Because if Weiss needs to vent or whatever now's the time. He'd rather she be fully focused on what he's about to bring to her attention.
I just had a noose around my neck after getting chloroformed for some stupid game Jaune and Dorian signed up for with the Attleton pendant as a stake. I've had a rough night.
[ that looks like that's about as much as she wants to talk about right now. She gives garrus an inpatient expression, half a beat from tapping her heel on the ground. ]
Edited (JFC PHONE DON'T CORRECT MY TYPING THAT IS NOT WHAT I MEANT) 2017-05-08 00:09 (UTC)
There was an attack, well, another attack on someone last night, but I don't think it was for a game. I don't know if you saw the message sent out by a man named Tannusen. He was poisoned by someone named Szelhamos. Neither of them are residents of Nova ((ooc: I think)) so they're not under our jurisdiction, but it just didn't feel right not reporting it. I took a video when I found him so you could have your paper trail. Hang on.
[He pulls out his phone and begins to play a video of a very clearly out of it Tannusen. Garrus isn't in the video himself, but his voice is clear.]
I tried looking into this Szelhamos guy, but we don't have much on him. Do you know anything about him?
[ She shakes her head. ] Tannusen sounds familiar, but I've not heard of Szelhamos.
[ She goes over to her desk and pulls up one of the holograms, asking it to search for the name. Tannusen's pops up with his bounty registration, but that's it. Szelhamos has nothing. She shakes her head. ]
What city was this in? I can contact the other Guardians and see if they have anything, but it'll be a good idea if we have some direction to start in.
It happened in Attleton. I found him just outside the damn circus. I don't know where either of them live, though. I think Tannusen left in the direction of Everglade, though whether or not that was his final destination I can't say.
[ Once he was sure the pair weren't being followed by anyone except him, he had let them go so he could start digging. Looks like he should have followed a little longer, though. ]
I was hoping you weren't going to say Everglade. We'll try Blaze first.. [ She doesn't want to involve Grell in this. But it sounds like they're going to have to... ]
[ Garrus stares blankly, not understanding what the problem was. Everglade wasn't his favorite city, sure, but it certainly wasn't that bad. ]
I feel that I should mention that he seemed reluctant to get the cops involved, but he was also not in a completely coherent mental state so I elected to ignore that and share it with you. That's not a problem, is it?
[ He figures it's best to come clean now in case it comes out later and bites him in the ass. ]
It's a good thing we're not police, we just happen to work with them. You're not a doctor or a lawyer, there's no rescuer-rescuee oath of privacy.
[ She ends up sending a message to all the Guardians, largely because if he's heading out of Attleton, toward Everglade, and passing through Genessia, and Nova City is the one who noticed it'd feel weird to just leave Fayren out. She straightens up, then begins broadcasting. ]
Fellow Guardians, we've encountered an incident between two men by the names of Tannusen and Szelhamos. It did not take place in Nova City, so jurisdiction falls between one of you. The man named Tannusen was allegedly poisoned by someone by the name of Szelhamos in Attleton just outside of the circus grounds. We suspect Tannusen left in the direction of Everglade through Genessia City, but my deputy Garrus lost track of him before finding out where he lived. We wanted to provide each of you with this information in case you're aware of who Szelhamos is and are able to take action to apprehend him for his crimes. I'll have Garrus attach the evidence that he provided me with to forward to each of you.
[ And she gestures at Garrus to do that real quickly. ]
[ Well. He never imagined Miss Goody Goody over here to be so sneaky. Looks like she's not as much of a stick in the mud as he had first thought. This is certainly a pleasant surprise.
He nods when he's addressed by Weiss and sends this video of Tannusen to the other Guardians before addressing them through Weiss' video. ]
In case you missed it, Tannusen broadcasted a distressing video on the night of the 29th. I managed to find him before anyone else. I had presumed that someone would have called the paramedics, but I guess I was wrong since no one showed. [ There's a bit of a pointed glare. He's judging all of them for not taking their jobs seriously and acting. Except Weiss since she was busy being kidnapped and he can't really hold it against her.
He will continue to judge them unless effective action is taken. If none is, he'll have to take it into his own hands. ]
[Having a face helped lots more when it comes to tracking people, especially since she hadn't talked to such a person yet. Lucky for them, reapers need only a name and face to find anyone, the trouble may be apprehending them. If they've poisoned someone, then they probably don't fight fair. It wouldn't be hard to search the network for a face while she scouts, at least until they get an actual image to her.]
On it. You may wish to get extradition forms ready in case he isn't a citizen of my area. I'm going out now. I'll give my deputies a heads up.
[With being a military level computer programmer meant being able to put in algorithms when searching for a name or even part of a name, so she came up with this conversation from way back. She also picked up some audio by the same man that used the same sort of name. Who else would use such a unique sounding name? If it isn't him, then she'll start again.]
This may be him. [Hopefully no one asks how she managed to find that information so quickly.]
[Garrus continues his look of judgement and addresses Blaze.] Yeah, you did a great job stopping it. [Two can play the quippy game.
And back to everyone.]
Negative on the visual on my end. It was just Tannusen and me until Cassian showed up and I've never met this Szelhamos guy.
[He looks at the info Grell's sent their way.] I don't recognize him, so it could be him, or this could just be one of the many people I haven't met here. Can't say for certain.
It's almost like I was doing it solo and it was me versus an entire circus.
[Now his tone is sounding more annoyed, but he's leaving it at that. Between Icy's attack and this circus in such close succession, even his patience is wearing a little. He's used to being chastized, but he can't seriously be expected to be a miracle worker in a world of magic and god knows what else. Luckily, he's far more interested in working with people than arguing with a deputy from another city.]
Thanks for the intel, Miss Sutcliff. We'll look into this ASAP, Miss Schnee.
Thank you too, all of you. Grell for the rapidly obtained visual, and Blaze for putting up with a deputy who didn't even know his Guardian got kidnapped tonight trying to throw shade anyone's way.
[ look it was a show with an audience she's not going to cover it up.
Don't worry Weiss had enough irritation to go around for everyone tonight. What is wrong with you garrus you are not going to be allowed on conferences anymore she can't take you anywhere ]
[Okay, that's pretty good. She may dislike you, Weiss, but Grell can totally respect that verbal smackdown. There is a bit of snickering before she cuts off her feed so she can laugh properly.]
Action that's still over the Guardian video I guess?
You're right. Next time a crazy circus comes around I'll be sure to ignore any emergency calls for help so I can keep an eye on you instead. Guess I was wrong for thinking you could handle yourself.
[Listen, princess, it's been a long night for him too.
And fuck, she wasn't Shepard; he can't talk to her like that.]
Sorry. That was out of line.
[...God damn it he's going to have to keep an eye on her now as well.]
Re: Action that's still over the Guardian video I guess?
It was, and I clearly did handle myself. Which is more than I can say for you and your manners.
[ And more than she can say for the guy who assumed she was incommunicado for hours so his solution was to skulk around her office until she showed up but she knows she's just being extra cranky right now so she keeps that sniping to herself and hangs up. ]
[Blaze was quick to notice and pick up on Weiss' message, paying close attention to the information being relayed. He watches the video and listens to Garrus' words, but he doesn't exactly appreciate that glare.]
I was busy trying to single-handedly put an early end to that Showstopper, I'm sorry I couldn't be in two places at once.
[His expression remained neutral since he's pretty good with controlling his emotions, but it's undeniable that there was a bit of an edge of sarcasm to his tone. He may have been called a ghost during his military career, but that doesn't mean he has magical teleporting abilities. Sorry that trying to stop Russian Roulette and a fucked up version of Hangman was higher on his priority list, man.]
I'll make sure Thirteen and Dante are aware of the situation. Do we have a visual of this Szelhamos?
[text] an eventual response, some time after he texted her
[ ..Though she'll go back if she has to. She's just really fucking annoyed right now. ]

I'm at the Skyrise. I thought maybe I'd find you here working when you didn't answer.
Are you okay?
[ Shit, what if that Szelhamos guy had hurt other people at the circus because he'd left? He hadn't thought of that before.]

I'll be there soon.
