[Yang snickers. She thinks it's kind of cute how much thought Weiss puts into all of these little details, weighing the consequences and advantages before making a decision. It's unusual for her to be impulsive, but Sun is good for her in that regard.]

[ He really is, and has been for a long while here- whether it's things like this or years ago when he first got her to sneak out of the Tokyo Tower observation deck to go sit on the top bars with him. ]
Of course I do. He enjoyed it. [ A pause. ] It was our goodbye sex before he went to the Dream Docks, so I haven't exactly had a detailed conversation with him about it but I plan on asking him if he wants to try again sometime.
I'm glad you're both okay. [ She sighs, thinking about it for a moment. ] I've been considering not going anymore, honestly. I don't think Mercury's gone in a while and he's not wrong that that isn't who we are anymore. I only go because I'd rather know who to avoid getting stabbed in the back by before they've had a chance to figure out who they want to be in this world. [ A brief pause before- ] Which is admittedly ironic for me to say at this point.
We're different people here at this point. I'll probably still keep going, but it's more to make sure that I can keep my life and the people I care about here safe.
[ Especially if any of those people come and it boils down to the people currently here having to take sides again. She looks a little uncertain, letting out a sigh. ]
Particularly since I doubt they're going to stop after Mistral. Which I suppose means we'll either be heading to Atlas or Vacuo next, and if my family is still here... knowing what happens in Atlas might be detrimental to that end. [ Information is important when dealing with people who don't fight with swords and guns. ]
That's going to be.. interesting. Do you think we can sneak in so I don't have to alert my father I've come back and he interprets it as "crawling back." I would say I know a talented smuggler but I don't know if he actually made it out of the ship crash alive or not. [ This just doesn't sound like a fun time but she understands why they need to. Still, she tries to not fall down into that trap and tries to joke. ] Are you sure Vacuo doesn't have a relic we could go for next?
At this point, I don't think we have any say in what happens next. We just have to watch, and hope for the best.
[Her thumb starts to brush against the handle of the coffee mug, but when it makes a metallic scrape, Yang stills her hand.]
And keep in mind that our lives diverged from that world a long time ago. Like you said. Doesn't mean we can't learn more about each other and ourselves, but it's not fair to be mad at each other for things we can't really control.
I know that. I unfortunately am related to people with far worse tempers than mine who I continually have a habit of upsetting and have found somewhat of a balance here with, but if they find out back home that anything upsetting to them happens there it might cause problems here.
[ Maybe they can somehow manage to keep Jacques from ever knowing what the Dream Docks are. Weiss grimaces slightly, leaning back in the chair she's sitting in in what almost looks like a small slump. ]
Whether it's fair or not won't have anything to do with it.
[ Weiss cares because depending on how much control he feels he has over the situation, he might feel the need to gain more. And he isn't leaving her alone anywhere near as much as she'd hoped. ]
I know. I tried to fix things with Whitley here, but... Atlas seeing I'm not as mentally unstable as my father told everyone might cause problems for him. Problems that might make things more... strained, since Whitley is set to inherit everything.

So I guess I'll keep checking back, once a year, if I can.
