[She salutes with two fingers and a grin, then disconnects. The smile fades as she stares at the screen, and finally she sighs, shaking her head.]
Who am I trying to fool...
[There's really no sense in trying to hide it, but she's doing it anyway. She's not sure why. Probably because she doesn't know how to handle all of the anger and frustration and sadness right now. What she feels is in direct contrast to what she knows, and that's...aggravating. She rubs her fingers over her eyes, then stands up to pace around the office and swing her arms.]
[True to her word, she comes home when she said she would. She thought about picking up ice cream on the way, but only lingered about ten seconds in the grocery store parking lot, engine rumbling, before she realized she just wasn't in the mood for sweets.]
[As she closes the garage door and pockets her keys, she keeps an eye out for Weiss as she saunters toward the apartment building.]
[ She's certainly not fooling Weiss. She uses the spare time to go ahead and essentially fill a suitcase that she brings with her to Yang's apartment- blankets for the couch in case she wants to watch a movie, spicy Sichuan food picked up- after all if your mouth is burning you'll get angry not sad, girly stuff like hair brushes and nail polish and face masks, some of Sun's video games. She can just listen to, but she's coming prepared for whatever Yang needs.
She does get there a little after, since she wasn't sure what time Yang was going to arrive. And she knocks on the door! ]
[ Is that.. that's a good pun right? (It's not, Weiss, it's a portmanteau and not even a good one.) She's trying here. Once she gets in she carefully sets the suitcase down on the nearest table or countertop and opens it up to reveal her treasures! And also the hot food because it's very carefully wrapped in there not to spill. ]
This is very spicy but spicy food is better for when you're feeling down because you can blame any eye-watering on it and it tends to be very hard to focus on sadness when your mouth is on fire. I also have girly things, some of Sun's games and the console with the matching symbol in case you didn't have it, the most comfortable blankets I own that weren't in the wash, movies, or we can just talk if that's what you want.
[Yang blinks as each item is carefully removed and explained. There's so much! And the time it takes gives her the opportunity to realize just how much care and effort Weiss put into all of this, just because she knows her friend is hurting.]
[Even though Weiss is hurting too.]
[Yang's response is probably obvious: she puts her arms around the shorter girl and just. Hugs her. Having a friend that cares this much is pretty much the best thing she could ask for right now.]
[ She hops a little bit so she can give Yang a proper hug, pulling back and giving her a smile. It's sad, but warm. ]
I've lost people before. Zuko.. when I lost him, I didn't know what to do with myself. It was a month before our anniversary and I still went to the restaurant we went to on our first date and sat there for three hours on our anniversary even though I knew he'd been gone. I knew that he probably wasn't coming back, and if he did he wouldn't remember me. [ And he doesn't now that he is back. ]
So I know how much it hurts to lose someone you're close to like you were with Mercury. Of course I'm going to be here for you.

[ She nods. ]
Take your time.

Come on in.
[She gives her head a little jerk and moves aside. Only then does she realize what Weiss is holding.]
--Whoa, what's the suitcase for? Moving in for a few days?
