[Jacques narrows his eyes and looks at the house. The second floor lawn is more exposed than he'd like it, but it's not out in the open for all to see so he supposes it's alright. Besides, he's not sure that he'd be comfortable sitting on the same chair the monkey-boy uses.]
It's a nice day so I suppose it's alright this one time, though I hope you don't intend to try and ban me from visiting my own daughter.
[He laughs, tying his best to keep this conversation as light and unsuspecting as possible; he doesn't want to raise any alarms before he has to.]
Would you at least be willing to make me a cup of coffee?
[He wants to get a good look at the place and make sure it is secure, just in case he does have to resort to plan B. Also, he could just really use a good cup of Joe.]
That depends on if you can learn to behave yourself around Sun or not. I'm not backing down on marrying him.
[ At least right now she's not banning him. Today, anyway. But she nods and leads the way. It's a nice little garden at least and the kitchen is in view, so he can watch her while she goes to prepare some coffee for the both of them, and the "bodyguards" because they are people too.
That said, it's really good coffee. Weiss has definitely improved her talents at making coffee on her own, even beyond at home where she's managed to get to a fairly decent level of brew. When she comes back she gives the bodyguards theirs first, then sits down with Jacques and hers at the table. ]
[He has to admit: Sun must be doing something right to be able to afford a place like this. It's not quite as ostentatious as he would have picked for himself, but it's not half bad, either.]
I think you should really consider how your actions are going to affect the rest of the family.
[He takes the cup graciously and - damn, that is a good cup of joe. He's impressed.]
Marrying a faunus won't affect just me, but your brother as well. The Schnee name will be besmirched and our reputation tarnished. Is that really what you want? I know you and Whitley have been spending time together as of late.
[ Weiss's fingers tighten around the mug for a moment. Whitley never seemed to mind Sun. He didn't really know him well, but he'd never spoken ill of him. But Whitley also knew to hold his tongue when it didn't benefit him.
It sickened her that she was having to try to think of a way to explain this to him in his own twisted logic, and Weiss took a sip of the coffee before responding. Just a moment to collect her thoughts. ]
Or it's a gracious peace-offering. Clearly the Schnees aren't as racist and terrible as everyone says they are, their own daughter is marrying a faunus. If anything it'll improve the Schnee reputation with the faunus community and decrease aggression toward Schnee shipments, as well as undermine the claims of the White Fang against the Schnee family. I get to be happy, you get to spin it however you please if somehow this were to get out back home.
[ That.. that makes sense, right? It's a horrible logic that she shouldn't have to use, but she's hoping it's enough to sell him on the idea at least enough to back off. ]
Maybe they should be. Maybe you're closing off parts of the market because of your own biases.
[ Thank god conversations with a robot, the robot's boyfriend, and Dorian has already prepared her for the second half of that argument. Though probably not with the answer that Jacques would ever want to hear. ]
It's not a taint. If I have babies, they're going to be little white-tailed kids who are probably going to be nightmares to take care of between Sun and my bad habits like his stealing my food all the time and I reorganize his things without his permission so he doesn't know where anything is. And he's going to be disappointed when one of them turns out to be a "nerd" and I'm going to roll my eyes when they play detective about who stole the last cookies from the cookie jar when we all know it was Ruby from the beginning. I won't be able to see them in the dark and I'll probably have to use glyphs to get them off of the top of bookshelves because I know they'll be climbers. [ She smiles, looking down for a moment before back up at him. ] That doesn't scare me with Sun. I don't want it now but someday, I would love to have a family that actually puts up with those stupid, obnoxious habits and spends time together. Love isn't a taint, whether it's between humans or faunus or any other species.
[Jacques can't believe what he's hearing. She can't seriously be considering having kids with him, right? No way, nuh-uh. Besides, that would require her to... Nope, those are mental images he wants no part of.
A part of him also recognizes that half of that seems entirely unsafe for children but he's shoved that part into a closet because there are more pressing matters at hand.
He places his coffee cup on the table and rises, face firm.]
You are not having children with him - monkey children - because you are not marrying him, and that's final.
[ Jacques you have never met actual children have you? Especially not the children of huntresses and huntsmen. ]
I am marrying him. I said yes. I thought about it carefully, he even waited for me to make a decision because he knew I'd need that time because he knows me that well. I know you don't love Mother so you may not... understand, what it is to actually be happy. It's okay, I've accepted that isn't going to ever be a happy story. But you can't stop me from marrying someone I love. You can either accept it and get your invitation to the wedding or you can choose to never see your future grandchildren and keep on going with your life, but it'll be away from us. You don't get to choose between Sun and I, we don't come separately anymore. So those are your options.
[Anyone else would have been thrilled to hear their future son-in-law hadn't pressured their daughter into marrying them. Unfortunately, Jacques Schnee is the dick supreme so he couldn't give a rat's ass. In fact, if anything it just makes him angrier to hear her speaking so well of him.
But he's given her her chance, and she blew it. So be it.]
I don't like either of those options. Do you know what I want? I want you back to they way you used to be, doing whatever I said without question. [He gives a nod to his "bodyguards," who place down their coffee and rise. They move so there's one on each side of her and grab her arms, holding her firmly in place. Jacques leans in, his face an inch away from hers and his voice cold.]
[ This rather quickly went from a civil argument to something more. If it hadn't been her own family, if she hadn't been the type of person who at least have faith that people weren't inherently awful, she might've picked up on it sooner. This wasn't a discussion. It never was with Jacques Schnee, you either listened or you got out of his life.
Except there was no escape here, and as the bodyguards' grips tightened, Weiss's eyes narrowed as her father leaned in. Her coffee cup clattered on the table as she shakes her shoulders to try to get loose, just to test what was going on. It was suddenly very clear that those two weren't there to protect him, but to keep her down. She doesn't move for a brief second, taking a slow breath. Don't lose control of your emotions, Weiss. ]
That "me" never existed.
[ In a split second her wrist flicks up and a glyph forms above her hand. ]
I had hoped you would see reason on your own, but you leave me no choice.
[The very-obviously-not-bodyguards had been warned of Weiss' abilities ahead of time, so they're ready. As soon as the glyph appears, there's a needle being pushed into the side of her neck releasing a sedative into her veins. She might be able to get one glyph off before she's knocked out, but that'll be about it.
Jacques stands tall, looking down on her with a stoic expression on his face.]
It didn't have to be like this.
[She should have just listened. After all, she knows as well as anyone: It's foolish not to do as father asks.]
[ There's a sharp gasp as she suddenly feels the needle. That she hadn't expected. The glyph flickers a couple of times just as it reaches its peak size to summon the Arma Gigas, then disappears altogether.
No. No. Her vision is starting to blur and she tries to move to reach up, to push whoever it was that did that away, but the neck only takes a few seconds to push something through to the rest of her body. ]
What are you going to...?
[ She can barely finish the sentence, her consciousness fading quickly. ]

It will please the faunus, but the faunus aren't our stockholders! Did you listen to anything I taught you? We'll lose all of our backers!
[A company is only as strong as it's reputation, and the upper-crust weren't fans of the faunus. A move like that? It would harm the business.]
And what if you decide to have kids? The Schnee blood will be tainted with their kind for generations to come!
[Really, Weiss, use your brain!]

Take her to the car and let's go. Shady Oaks is....
