Ms. Schnee, I am...terribly sorry about what happened. I feel at least somewhat personally responsible for being unable to aid you when you needed it, and I hope you will forgive me.
However, I imagine you want to focus on that topic as little as possible so I will move on. I have assumed all of your Guardian duties in your absence and will continue to do so to the best of my ability until you feel fit enough to return to duty yourself. Rest assured, I will keep Nova City safe and thriving. Take all of the time you need to recover in both body and mind.
If one more person other than Battler Ushiromiya tries to tell me that this is their fault or that I should forgive them for something, I'm going to fire everyone I know.
It happens every time something bad happens, for future reference. Everyone tries to take the blame for something they didn't do. If this isn't my fault, it's definitely not your fault. As a City Guardian, I probably should have better basic instincts to be able to tell when I'm dating someone who wants to murder me and make me suffer. I still didn't commit the murders and I'm still not going to say that it's my fault they happened. No one should feel guilty except him and anyone who helped or helps him in the future. Is that understood?
